About HAVN911
HAVN911 was created to address one of the most urgent needs in public safety communications: supporting the mental health, training, resilience, and long-term well-being of 911 professionals.
Dispatchers and telecommunicators are often the first first responders. They answer the call before anyone else arrives. They hear trauma, manage chaos, make critical decisions, and carry the emotional impact of emergencies long after the call ends.
HAVN911 exists to provide a safe, supportive, and purpose-driven space for the 911 community.
Why HAVN911 exists
The 911 profession is facing serious challenges: staffing shortages, burnout, emotional fatigue, training gaps, retention struggles, and a growing need for meaningful mental health support.
HAVN911 was created to help meet those challenges by offering resources, encouragement, training, and connection specifically designed for the public safety communications community.
Who’s behind HAVN911?
HAVN911 was created by Diane Carroll, founder of getResQ911 and a former 911 professional who understands firsthand the weight, responsibility, and heart behind this work.
After years in emergency communications and public safety leadership, Diane created HAVN911 as part of a broader mission to care for the people behind the headset — not just as employees, but as human beings.
HAVN911 reflects a simple belief:
The people who answer the call deserve to be supported, equipped, and protected too.
